Description

White Yarrow, also known as Common Yarrow, occurs throughout most of the United States and can be found in disturbed areas of upland grasslands and open woodlands. Growing 1-3 feet in height, it prefers dry soils and full sun to partial shade. A large bloom period from May-September make this a great species for bee and butterfly gardens with its large clusters of small white flowers. This perennial plant spreads through both seeds and rhizomes and can form large colonies if allowed to do so.
