Description
Fox sedge is a perennial clump forming sedge grass that grows commonly across North America. It prefers to grow in full sun and requires wet conditions such as stream banks, landscape ponds, springs and wetlands for best growth. The green flowers are in bloom from May-June and are easily seen sitting atop the slender stalks that grow to a height of 2-3 feet. This plant is highly utilized for landscaping in rain gardens and around ornamental ponds.
