Lemon Mint
Lemon Mint is found distributed across the southern half of the United States growing in upland prairie and grasslands. Often called Beebalm, it is a member of the mint family has beautiful purple flowers that bloom from May-July.
- Prefers to grow in dry, well-drained soils that may be rocky and sandy
- Thrives in full sun to partial shade
- Highly utilized by pollinators and humming birds who are attracted to its fragrant flowers
- An easy annual species to grow, it will reseed itself and can form large colonies if allowed
