Description
Native to the eastern half of the United States, Boneset, or Common Boneset, can be found in wet meadows, ditches and marshlands. It tolerates both sun and shade and grows well in many different wet soil types that are rich in nutrients. The white flowers are in bloom from August-September and are very attractive to many types of bees and butterflies. The seed head is comprised of many small tufted seeds that are dispersed by the wind. A perennial, it can grow from 2-4 feet in height depending on conditions.
