Description

Found distributed from Texas north to Minnesota and east to North Carolina, Cream False Indigo is one of the earliest bloomers in the prairie. The yellow flowers can be seen from April-May across most of its native habitat. Growing well in open prairies, it prefers full sun to part shade and tolerates mesic to dry soils.  Reaching 2 feet in height and 3 feet across, this low growing perennial legume is extremely long lived.
