Curly cup gumweed is found widely distributed across Canada and the United States, except for the very southeast states. Growing in upland areas, it can be seen along roadsides, especially in disturbed areas. Growing as a biennial/perennial, it prefers full sun where it can grow to over 3 feet tall. Yellow flowers from June-September and ae highly utilized by many types of insects. This plant is not grazed by cattle and can be seen growing readily in overgrazed situations.
