Summer N-jection is a blend of warm-weather legumes used to produce nitrogen fertility during the hot summer months. It should be planted into a weed-free seedbed in late spring after all danger of frost is past. Optimum planting depth is around one inch. It is essential to coat the seeds with the contained inoculant, as these are the living bacteria that actually produce the nitrogen on the host plant roots. The inoculant is composed of living bacteria that need protected from heat, sunlight, and drying out. Once the inoculant package is opened, the seed should be immediately coated and planted as soon as possible. Summer Njection will be killed by first frost, or can be mowed to ground level in advance of planting fall crops.
