Monarch Maker is a monoculture of Common Milkweed Seed that has been found to be imperative for the survival and reproduction of the Monarch Butterfly. This native flower is also beneficial to many other pollinating insects.
Monarch Maker is best planted in midwinter or should be stored in a refrigerator for 1 to 4 weeks prior to planting in early Spring. It should be planted at a dept of 1/4 inch but no more than 1/2 inch in a weed-free seedbed. Control weeds during the seedling year by mowing or hand rogueing.
